Several speeches delivered at the semi-centennial celebration of Lawrence, Kansas, the week of October 2, 1904. Some speeches contain experiences of early Lawrence settlers, such as trouble with Missourians coming over to vote in early Kansas Territory elections, and causing considerable trouble for free-state settlers. The Honorable W. J. Bailey, J.C. Horton, the Honorable Robert Morrow, and Mrs. E.W. Pinkston were a few of the speakers present.
