This black and white photograph shows a fleet of trailers from the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company. In the railroad industry these trailers on flat cars, (TOFC), are commonly referred to as a piggy-back service. This intermodal form of transportation between the railroad and trucking services, allow for freight to be delivered in half the time.
