Horner and information on children's Chautauqua. Artists and acts profiled in the program include Ruth Bryan Owen, Laurant and his Company, Harry J. Loose, The Phillips Sisters' Orchestra, Daddy Grobecker's Alpine Yodlers, J. A. Cooper, Jane Goude, The Oratorio Artists, Dr. E. T. Hagerman, Frank Johnson, Bernice Arthur, and William E. Wenner. Chautauquas brought entertainment and culture to communities featuring speakers, teachers, musicians, entertainers, preachers and specialists of the day. Chautauquas expanded and spread throughout rural America until the mid-1920s.
