Robert Taft (1894-1955) was a professor of chemistry and author on the subjects of photography and art. The artists included here are John Mix Stanley, L. T. Stanley, Charles Stobie, Howard A. Streight, Max Strobel, Joseph Dwight Strong Jr., William H. Tappan, Bayard Taylor, W. E. Terry, Thure de Thulstrup, John C. Tidball, Peter Tofft, Newbold H. Trotter, Henry Ulke, Douglas Volk, James Walker, J. C. Ward, Henry James Warre, and Edward P. Washburn.
