This photograph shows a tri-county rural electrification meeting held at the H-H Hall in Solomon, Kansas. At the beginning of the meeting, people were asked to raise their hands if they were interested in forming a rural electric cooperative. Nearly 100 per cent of the attendees from Dickinson, Saline and Ottawa Counties were in favor of a cooperative. Paul R. Chilen is the orchestra conductor.
