This complete vessel was found in the city dump of Anthony, Kansas in 1936 and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1969. It appears to have been made on a potter's wheel and is decorated horizontal lines. The dark "clouding" is the result of the firing processes. There are two holes on opposite sides of the rim to enable the pot to have been suspended.
